Hey, Shery! Due to unforeseen circumstances unfortunately I will not be able to attend this reunion. My money has been sent and I wish to share this with someone who can't pay or toward the 50th year class reunion. The only request I have is to please send me the class reunion picture from this year. I would give anything to be there. Tell everyone hello for me and I love you all. Dear Shery,
My name is Kay Weeks and I wanted to respond to you regarding my husband, Sherman Weeks. I realize this may be a shock to you, but Sherm passed away on August 28, 2003, from a heart attack. It will soon be four years since I lost him, but I miss him terribly everyday. I will put a copy of his obituary in the mail to you in the next couple of days in case you would like to share it with others.
Sherm would have really enjoyed going to the reunion. In 1994, he and I traveled to Memphis to see his grandmother for her 100th Birthday, and on the way back home we stopped at Jackson High School for him to revisit some memories. That meant a great deal to him. I know he would want to say "Hello" to all of his classmates. I remember him mentioning your name. Were you in school with him in Rota, Spain also?
It might be a long shot, but if anyone has any pictures or memories to share with me I would love it. I apologize for sending this at such a late date.
