Connections

It's fun getting emails from classmates regarding their attempts to make it to the reunion, so I wanted to share.

News about James Reinhardt from Mimi Roland via Patsy Brockenbrough (the wonders of email!), May 23:
Mimi (Roland) called today with James Reinhardt's address.
40 White Oak Lane, Tallassee, AL 36078
cell 334-415-9000
He knows about the reunion and is awaiting his letter.
By the way, I retired.

From Terry Basista, May 24:
Hi Shery!!
Yes, I am am "working on it." Few scheduling issues to resolve, but I should know within a short while. I too would like to see everyone. I saw that "fake" picture that was posted of the "Swinging High" thing. Had to be fake!! I was never that skinny - at least I can't imagine that I was judging from my present condition. Must be that Winston Churchill Exercise Video! Good to hear from you. Hope you are well and happy! Cordially, Terry

From Dianne Stobaugh Lamb, May 25:
Shery,
Thanks so much for including me! I would love to see everyone. I will indeed put it on my calendar and hope to be there. Good luck with this one! Sounds like you are doing a great job. I have enjoyed looking at the pictures. Let's stay in touch.
Dianne

From Joyce Peters Scallions, May 26:
Shery,
Thanks for the personal reminder. I do still have the registration form, and am still trying to get our summer plans finalized.
Our daughter Jessica's husband has gone with a different company and they are trying to relocate from Peachtree City, GA to either Cincinnati or Memphis this summer. We do not know what our role will be in regard to their move. But, in the least we expect to be hosting our granddaughters during that time. This week-end their family is in Cincinnati trying to get more information on that area.
We're trying to be supportive and helpful without interfering, but with Memphis as one of the choices, it is difficult. (It would be great to have one daughter near us.)
So, all that to say I am still uncertain of our plans.
Thanks again for the reminder, and for all your work for the class. Joyce

From David Dugger, May 29:
Unfortunately, I will not be able to make the reunion as I will be off work, out of town, and attending to family matters during the 2 weeks of July beginning the 13th. I was waiting this late to let you know in hopes that there would not be a conflict but unfortunately not so. My email remains the same, and I appreciate what I hear from you from time to time. We are still putting ourselves back together down here in "Katrina Land" ... Fortunately, our family losses were minimal compared to so many others.
Peace and best wishes,
David Dugger

From Birnie Harper, June 1:
I am trying to get there. Just saw Carol Wambrod at Elm Croft visiting her mother. Fern's mother is there. We were in town for a pre 90th birthday celebration for Fern's mother at a time when all four of our children could be there.
