Monday, March 26, from Marilyn:
Shery,
I appreciate your hard work on the reunion. Unfortunately, It looks like my acute leukemia is coming back. I plan to enter the hospital at UAMS in Little Rock April 2 for 4-6 weeks for chemo. After remission, and after a matched donor is found, we go to M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston for a marrow transplant if everything works out. Anderson usually requires 100 days of Houston residence after a transplant. I know I'll be missing a good time.
Love,
Marilyn

Thanks!
Home from month long hospital stay yesterday. I was in room 24/7 and so unable to write. She is weak and had a tough time but is again in remission. Headed to Houston for transplant when stronger...perfect match found.
Bo

Marilyn,
I am very sorry to hear about your lukemia. My younger brother was diagnosed with lukemia. We sent him to Houston to MD Andeson last June. We got him an apartment near MD Anderson and John Randolph (Randolph's Nursery)and his wife Cheri have been the greatest caregivers .
He underwent stem cell transplant in January and appears he is in remission. He will be going back home to San Francisco in July.
Good luck and we will be praying for you.
Dear Bo and Marilyn- I was so looking forward to seeing you both at the ReUnion but I know that you are in the most wonderful hands in all the world. TOGETHER we are go-ing to get this licked, once and for all. You two are some of my prized possessions and with God and the support of your friends, I know that we will be OK. I wish that I could contact you directly by email or phone. Either of you can contact me by phone 985-386-2645 or email bullbay@hotmail.com. If you are already in Houston, are you comfortable? Two of Fay's (my wife) best friends are there (grad-uated in Fay's high school class) and will come running if I even grunt!! I grunt easily!!!! I suspect that you have been in Hous-ton a month already. Neither of you need to respond because Marilyn's recovery is the most important thing, but would love to hear from you if, and when, you have time.
Love to you both, Phelan(there's only one!)
